Demolition Tools You Need

Tools are great to have around. There are some basic tools everyone should have around the house. Screwdrivers, hammers, a power drill, and flashlights. There are also some basic tools you might want to keep around if you do your own demolition. At Deconstruction Pro here are some of the hand tools we use all the time.

1.) Hammers. You probably have a claw hammer already. It a great tool for demolition and also functions as a pry bar in tight situations. The next step up for demolition hammers is the heavy hammer, also known as a mini-sledge hammer, which is about the size of a claw hammer but has a heavier head for stubborn jobs. Our demolition workers use heavy hammers to knock out wood support beams and interior framing. Sledgehammers are used for big jobs like breaking concrete slabs and bricks.

2.) Pry Bars. You typically want two types of pry bars. A traditional S shaped pry bar and a flat head pry bar for tight spaces.

3.) San Angelo Pry Bar. We use San Angelo bars for breaking apart tile and flooring.

4.) Screwdrivers. Screwdrivers come in very handy during a demolition job. There will always a come a point where you need to unscrew some electric boxes if you are are doing a wall demolition for instance. Screwdrivers can also be used to take up smaller bit of tiles.

5.) Safety equipment. Safety first when doing a demolition job. So buy some hard hats, eye protection, and work gloves. Also make sure you wear a long-sleeved shirt and jeans or work pants when doing demolition work.

Deconstruction Pro is a licensed, bonded, and insured demolition contractor in the Los Angeles area.

I absolutely love your blog and find many of your post’s to be exactly what
I’m looking for. Would you offer guest writers to write content for you?
I wouldn’t mind writing a post or elaborating on many of the
subjects you write related to here. Again, awesome site!
